The Beaches
The beaches are a short 15-minute drive from Sky Harbor. There you will find many beachfront hotels, shops, and restaurants, most of which cater to an active nightlife. While Atlantic, Jacksonville, and Neptune beaches are open to the public, nearby Ponte Vedra Beach offers world-class resorts and pristine beaches. Call Sky Harbor for recommendations and reservations.

Downtown
Downtown Jacksonville’s scenic river district is also just a 15-minute drive from Sky Harbor. The Jacksonville Landing, a section of restaurants and shops on the St. Johns River, is a popular place to spend time and hosts numerous outdoor concerts, festivals, and shows throughout the year. It is a favorite place to be for the New Year’s fireworks. Click here for more information and a schedule of events.

Also downtown is EverBank Field, home of Jacksonville’s NFL team, the Jacksonville Jaguars! Click here for tickets and information. College fans also visit EverBank Field for the annual Gator Bowl and the Florida-Georgia Football Classic, one of the biggest rivalries in college football.

Not a football fan? Jacksonville also has its own minor league baseball team, the Jumbo Shrimp.
